Updates and FAQs

How do I teach in spring 2021 and beyond?

  1. As of January 1, 2021, Smart Sparrow Companion Websites are no longer available for any of our textbook programs. Soon, we will announce a new set of companion websites. Demos for the new companion websites will be available for instructors to sample beginning in spring 2021. The complete websites will be ready in time for students to use them during the fall 2021 semester.
  2. eBook Workbooks with all of the exercises from the websites are now available for purchase. They are not interactive but they are a way to continue to teach using the Comme on dit textbooks. eBook Answer Keys for the workbooks are available for purchase so students can check their own work. Both are available in ebook only and may be purchased on press.georgetown.edu or through VitalSource.com.
  3. eTextbooks are now available to rent or purchase through VitalSource.com. Please visit their website for more information on pricing and availability.

How do I request a digital exam or desk copy?

Instructors may request digital exam or desk copies of any of the products mentioned above by logging onto VitalSource.com, selecting “Faculty Sampling” in the upper right-hand corner, and selecting the desired products. When requesting the eTextbook, please select the version labeled “Digital Exam Copy,” which includes the answers to the textbook activities. Important note: Since access to the digital exam copies is email-specific, each instructor must request their own copy of the text(s).

How do I request a print exam or desk copy?

Instructors may request print exam or desk copies of the textbooks on press.georgetown.edu. Please note that the Workbooks and Answer Keys are available in ebook format only.
